The summer holidays are almost here and, for many, it’s time to start winding down for the year. Your calendar might be filling up with end-of-year celebrations and family events but, with a bit of forward planning, it could also be a time to beat the end-of-year rush to the dentist.

The extra time we have over the holiday period can be a great time to catch up on appointments we’ve been meaning to schedule but never quite got around to – and it’s a much more relaxed way of ticking those chores off your list.

That way, we can leap into 2023 with a fresh slate, knowing we’re on top of everything, and ready for whatever next year has to throw at us.

Getting holiday fresh feels great

We know going to the dentist isn’t everyone’s idea of holiday fun, but having regular check-ups can help to stop small problems from turning into big ones. That little bit of decay in your molar, that calculus hiding under your gumline, and that impacted wisdom tooth could cause all sorts of problems down the track. And isn’t it nice to get that clean bill of oral health, so you can smile big in all those holiday snaps?

Are you due for a dental check-up?

Visiting the dentist is often one of the first things to slip off our calendars when we’re busy, but we all know it’s important to visit every six months for optimum oral health. Our dental services at the Health Hub include examinations and scaling, mouth guards, oral cancer checks, treatment for dry mouth syndrome, splints, sleep apnoea devices, implant crowns, dentures and bridges. Cosmetic dentistry services such as veneers and bleaching are also available.
