We provide a huge, up to date, ethical and clinically proven range of dental services for you and every member of your family from the age of 0 to 100! Our goal is to keep your teeth strong and healthy for life.

We provide customised treatment options and recommend keeping a healthy mouth through six monthly check-ups unless advised otherwise by your health professional.

To assist in preserving your smile, we use intra oral cameras, hygienists, CAD CAM and produce same day crowns.

Our dental practice provides services for all members of your family including examinations and scaling, mouth guards, oral cancer checks, dry mouth syndrome, splint, sleep apnoea devices, root canal therapy, crowns, implant crowns, dentures and bridges. Cosmetic dentistry services such as veneers and bleaching are available.

There are no-gap check-ups, x-rays, scaling and cleaning for TUH Health Fund members depending on your cover and up to your annual limit.

Dental Laboratory

Our modern Health Hub Dental laboratory is equipped to provide you with the latest dental prosthesis, from mouthguards, to sleep apnoea devices, to splints and dentures, crowns, bridges and implant crowns. With a milling machine we can create same day crowns, and our on-site technicians can also do same day denture repairs for you.

Joseph Le-Kim Dentists at the Health Hub Fortitude Valley
Dr. Joseph Le-Kim

Dental manager

Dr. Joseph graduated from the University of Melbourne at the turn of the century.

He worked in public and private practice in Melbourne for over seven years, focusing on cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery and special needs, before moving up to Brisbane and TUH in 2008 as a general dentist.

In November 2011 he became the dental manager, and continues to split his time between clinical work and running the TUH dental clinic. He is committed to providing individualised, patient-centred care, whilst maintaining the highest standard of dental ethics.

In his down time, Joseph enjoys camping, traveling overseas and collecting useless facts.

Jennifer Schlamm

Dr Jenny grew up in the UK before moving to Australia in search of the sun. She graduated from the University of Wales in 2004 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and an intercalated BSc (1st Class) in Dental Science. She has also recently obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from Griffith university with 1st Class Honours and the University Medal.

After finishing her dental training, Jenny gained valuable experience working in the NHS for several years before branching out into private practice. She moved to Brisbane in 2012 with her family, and joined TUH in 2015. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a focus on providing patient centred, quality dental care in a stress-free environment.

Jenny is a keen equestrian and spends most of her free time riding and caring for her two horses, Ally and Dash. As well as teaching her daughter to ride, she coaches at the local pony club and regularly competes. She also loves to travel, bush walk and bike with the family.

Dr Susana Vuvan, Dentist at Health Hub Fortitude Valley
Dr. Susana Vuvan

Dr. Susana graduated from the University of Queensland in 2007 with honours. After working in Government practice for 5 years in Toowoomba, Susana joined TUH in 2012. She is an involved member of Cadmus Dental Study Club and is also a member of Fusion Study Club. Susana enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a particular interest in oral surgery. She has done volunteer dentistry in both Cambodia and Papua New Guinea.

Outside of work, she keeps herself busy, staying active with martial arts, squash and the gym. She loves spending time with family and friends, as well as caring for her pet dog Sasha.

Dr. An Le

Dr. An graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 2010. Since then, she has worked in both private and public health within Brisbane and in Central Queensland.

An is passionate about all aspects of dentistry with special interest in oral surgery. Being committed to providing the best treatment to her patients, she regularly attends courses to keep up with new techniques and technologies.
She is a keen traveler and has also done volunteer missions in Guatemala

In her spare time, she enjoys Latin dancing, long distance running and baking.

Dr. Fiona Storey

Dr. Fiona graduated from University of Queensland in 1995 and has worked in both government and private practice in Queensland before heading to the UK to work in the NHS. After 4 years and lots of travelling she returned to Australia and worked as the Civilian Manager of Clinical Services at HMAS Kuttabul in Sydney. For this, she received a Commendation from the Director General of Health Services.

After having twins in 2005 she returned to Brisbane and has been working at TUH since 2006. Fiona enjoys looking after the kids, volunteering at school and planning a renovation.

Dr. Jane Kim

Dr Jane Kim grew up in New Zealand and moved to the Gold Coast to attend Griffith University where she obtained her dentistry qualification. After working in the private sector for several years, she came to the TUH Health Hub in 2015. Her dental philosophy is focused on patient care, preventative and conservative dentistry. She has special interests in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Jane also has completed a Master of Forensic Medicine in Odontology and does work in forensic dentistry.

When she is not in the dental clinic, Jane spends her time being a cat mum to her two cats, travelling, and playing volleyball.

Dr. Virna Kane

Dr. Virna Kane graduated from the University of Queensland in 2002 with honours.  She has worked in private practice since graduating, and as a clinical demonstrator for the UQ School of Dentistry. Virna has spent time overseas in the UK where she took a break to raise her young children.

Dr. Kane enjoys general and family dentistry, and aims to carry it out in a kind and caring manner.  She is a member of the Australian Dental Association and is registered with the Dental Board of Australia.

Dr. Miriam Mathew

Miriam graduated from Kings College London in 2008. After working in the UK, she moved to Australia and worked in private practices in rural and urban Queensland, New South Wales & the Northern Territory.

Miriam enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a special interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She is committed to tailoring comprehensive individualised patient care and strives to help patients feel comfortable. She believes communication and oral health education are paramount to help patients reach optimal oral health and regularly spends time attending professional development courses.

Growing up in many different countries she is an enthusiastic traveller and has done volunteer missions in Papua New Guinea. She also enjoys learning new things, hiking, cooking and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Timothy Dunn

Dr Timothy Dunn grew up in the western suburbs of Brisbane, attending St Peters Lutheran College. Since graduating with Academic Excellence from his Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma in Dentistry from Griffith University, Tim continues to engage himself in continuing professional development. Tim has worked in several family and school dental clinics throughout South-East Queensland. Tim is now enjoying getting to know many of the lovely patients here at the Health Hub.

Tim’s calm, sense of humour and easy-going approach allows his patients to feel ‘at home’ the moment they walk in. He is also a perfectionist and prides himself on providing quality service and is focused on listening to his patients. Tim is always happy to answer any questions you may have about your teeth – particularly helping you to understand dental diseases and how to prevent them! He looks forward to attending to your dental needs in the future.

Outside of the dental world, you’ll find Tim anywhere from playing sports, watching sport (Go Broncos!), solving classic Sudoku or enjoying time with his wife.

Dr. Claire Yap

Dr Claire Yap graduated from Griffith University with Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science (Class I Honours) and Graduate Diploma in Dentistry. She received Academic Excellence awards for each year, the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Award, Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship and the University Medal.

Before joining the TUH Dental team, Dr Claire gained invaluable experience working at the Gold Coast in both private and public sectors. She has also been a clinical supervisor at Griffith University. Although she has spent the last 10 years at the Gold Coast, she has always called Brisbane home, having grown up and gone to school in the city.

Committed to the pursuit of excellence in patient care, Claire is dedicated to maintaining and developing her skills in every aspect of dentistry. She is also known to be compassionate and caring and she will strive to make your visit to TUH Dental clinic as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

In her spare time, Claire enjoys bush-walking and exploring the great outdoors, playing tennis, rock-climbing and an assortment of arts and crafts.

Dr. Chong Chu

After graduating in 2016, Dr Chu has been working full-time in private and public clinics in Queensland before joining the Health Hub. Professionally, he strives to provide consistent, high-quality dentistry with a focus on minimally invasive and preventative dentistry, crowns and surgical procedures. He is known for taking the time to listen, address patient concerns and present treatment options objectively. He believes a well-informed patient is a crucial partner in the decision-making process for dental treatment.

Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and two daughters – enjoying the simple pleasures like going to the playground and singing lullabies.

Dr. Madeleine Werder

Dr Maddy graduated from James Cook University with Distinction and prior to this, completed a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Queensland. She has worked in regional Queensland and most recently in Tasmania for the public sector. While she enjoyed her time in Hobart, Maddy wanted to move closer to family.

Damian Corrigan Health Hub Fortitude Valley dental technician
Damian Corrigan

Damian is our dental technician, who is passionate about all things teeth. He works closely in partnership with the dental team, making sure that all our patients get the best smile results possible. He enjoys all aspects of dental technology, from mouthguards to implants and digitally designed CAD CAM crowns.

After work, you can find Damian looking up bush walking and trekking trails to never go on, as he prefers the wind therapy of a different kind. He enjoys tinkering on his motorcycle, preparing it for his attempt at the world record of the most bridges crossed on a motor bike. Damian volunteers in his local community, coaching cricket, basketball, and any other sports his three boys commit to.

Unfortunately, Damian has yet to find his green thumb but there is still time.

Vivienne Bidaud, Dental hygienist for Health Hub Fortitude Valley
Vivienne Bidaud: Dental Hygienist

Vivienne Bidaud was born in New Zealand  and began her dental career as a dental assistant. She has worked in general, cosmetic and orthodontic practices in both New Zealand and the United kingdom.

She graduated from Melbourne University in 1997 with a Diploma in Oral Health Therapy /Dental Hygiene. Since then she has provided may hours of oral health promotion to the very young and to those with special needs in our community. In 2005 Vivienne participated as a supervisor of the BOH students at Queensland University. She has worked closely with periodontists in private practice to extend her skills and gain a wider understanding in periodontal disease.

After 15 years of practice with over 10 years with TUH, she is still passionate and focused in providing education, preventive treatments and maintenance to her patients.

When she is not working, she enjoys her time with her husband and beautiful daughter somewhere near water, cycling, walking or fly fishing.

Norma Collins, oral health therapist at Health Hub Fortitude Valley
Norma Collins: Oral Health Therapist

Norma is a very experienced Oral Health Therapist who has worked in both the public and private sectors, and has also taught at the University of Queensland Dental School and Southbank TAFE.

Her goal is to help her patients achieve optimal oral health outcomes by means of clinical expertise and easy to understand explanations in a relaxed and caring environment. You will never feel judged by Norma. She just wants to help you!

Oral health and general health go hand in hand and Norma is keen to increase her patient’s understanding of this correlation.

Norma has been on a number of volunteering trips to Vietnam, Papua New Guinea and far North Queensland, where she has used her dental skills and knowledge to help disadvantaged groups.

Outside of work, Norma loves spending time with her family and friends in the great outdoors keeping as fit and healthy as possible. Swimming is her favourite sport and in years past has been an avid skier, although the beach is her real ‘happy place’.

Norma also practices Laughter Yoga, which helps her with an ongoing appreciation of all we are blessed with here in Australia.

Leanne Lingard: Dental Hygienist

Leanne has been in the dental field now for thirty years as both an Oral Health Therapist and a Dental Hygienist in both the public and private sectors. Her goal is for patients to have a good cleaning experience so when they leave, they are looking forward to their next one! Oral health prevention is very important to Leanne who recognises it is not a one size fits all. She will give you oral health education tailored to your individual needs, existing knowledge, goals, and expectations, all of this done in a caring and relaxed way.

Outside of dental, Leanne has an obsession with chickens and gardening, loves caravanning and kayaking with her husband and making the most of adventuring before the grandchildren arrive.

While our professional dental team strives to provide you with the highest quality of care and service, there may be occasions when we don’t meet your expectations. Our work comes with a one-year warranty provided you’ve kept up with regular check-ups and oral hygiene practices (at home or at the clinic) and have not contributed to the failure of the work in any way.

If you feel dissatisfied with treatment you’ve received, you should first discuss the matter with your treating dentist or our dental manager.

If the matter is still unresolved, you may wish to contact the Australian Dental Association (ADA) Community Relations Officer, or the Health Quality and Complaints Commission (details below). Both officers have conciliatory roles in trying to resolve the situation to the satisfaction of all parties.
